Manchester United defined Christopher Nkunku as a potential target for transfer while Chelsea is considering the move of Alejandra Garnacha | Football news
Christopher Nkinka appeared as a potential target of Manchester United in this window as Chelsea is considering moving to United striker Alejandra Garnacha.
It is assumed that there were talks between intermediaries about the potential crossing of Nkunku to Old Trafford.
Chelsea does not want to sell Nkinka, but it is thought that they would be tempted to operate for £ 70m.
He is a player that United thinks of, but it is unlikely to achieve that figure of £ 70 million.
Bayern Munich is trying to sign with the player but failed to arrange an agreement.
It would be more of a chance to go to Bayern for Nkunk if their striker Mathys Tel was ready to go in the opposite direction in a separate agreement.
Chelsea effectively had two different starting 11 this season – one for the league and the other for Europe and the competition Cup.
Nkinka scored an impressive 11 goals in 10 European and Cup appearances in this period. But he was able to score only two goals in 18 Premier League games, although only three of these appearances were starting players.
Meanwhile, Chelsea also thinks of a shift United forward Alejandro Garnach.
United considers the possibilities in the attacks of the attack and which is feasible during this window with respect to their financial limitations.
It will depend a lot on what will happen to Garnacho and Marcus Rashford, since Antony’s loan to Real Betis should be finalized this weekend.
They do not want to stay short in the attack – but they also cannot afford to be too big.
Amorim addresses Garnach’s future
Ruben Amorim spoke about Garcch’s future in the midst of the continued interest of Chelsea in the January transitional period.
Garnacho played a full 90 minutes in a late MAN UTD victory of 2-1 against the Rangers in the Europa League on Thursday, and was one of their brightest players as one of the five changes after Sunday’s poor defeat by Brighton.
After the match, Amorim was not drawn in any way about whether Garccho would stay at Old Trafford after the end of this month, but praised his progress since he left his wing for a bad game ahead of the Manchester derby just over a month before.
“He plays for Manchester United,” he answered asking if he might have played his last game for the club. “It was very important to us today. We’ll see in the coming days.
“I think he’s progressing in every aspect of the game. He was better today playing inside and out, changing positions. Improves a recovery position. You can see it.
“All 90 minutes, he is always recovering and helping. Sometimes showing some frustration is really good because he wants more.”
Amorim also challenged for a 20-year-old to progress, adding, “I think he has the potential to be much better in every situation in the game.
“What I can say is that he understood what I was trying to do and he was really clear. I just want to help him. In the end, the players are the ones who do the job.”
Antony set up for Real Betis Medical Review
Manchester United gave Antony permission to travel to Seville for a medical examination with Real Betis.
It is a direct loan by the end of the season with a return at least 84 percent of his salary plus bonuses.
Depending on the individual and team effect, United could eventually make money on Antony’s salary – about as he did with Jadon Sancho when he went on loan to Borussia Dortmund last season.
Antony was signed with Ajax for around £ 85m in the summer of 2022.
His contract expires by 2027 and involves the option of staying at the club for another year.
Antony was on every team under Ruben Amorim, except one – but he has not yet started the Premier League match this season.
United wants him to start playing regularly in the first team before evaluating his future again in the summer.
What does Antony’s loan departure mean for the Man UTD on the transfer market?
Manchester United’s search for the left lateral defender does not depend on the departures within this transitional period.
As Sky Sports News Posted after Amorim’s appointment, the left lateral defender was rounded up as a priority position and it was one transfer that is likely to happen during this period regardless of the club situation.
The conversations were conducted for Patrick Dorgaand Lecce expects United offer.
In the meantime, the club also explores a number of other opportunities in different positions depending on the departures.
Garnacho attracts the interests of Napoli and Chelsea, while Rashford said he wanted a new challenge before this transitional deadline.
Rashford prefers a move to Barcelona, although his hopes of moving to the Spanish club are declining every day. Borussia Dormtund also checked loan conditions.
