If Cunha were to join the United ranks, he would rise to their joint-top scorer with Amad Diallo four shots off Cunha’s tough ten, and the table above clearly shows that the top fighters could be handled with the flair and goalscoring ability of the Brazilian leading the line.
Indeed, Cunha’s adaptability to play up top – with Rasmus Hojlund continuing to miss chances as a lone striker – would be useful, but also his versatile nature to slot into the side as one of two options just behind the centre-forward as Gittens feels less I’m in a hurry to finish.
