Man City and Pep are ready to sign the £85m Real Madrid star ahead of Liverpool
Manchester City they have now made funds available for Pep Guardiola complete an audacious swoop to land the Real Madrid star ahead of Liverpool, a new report claims, as Premier League the champions are looking to improve their squad in the upcoming transfer window.
Man City ready to throw money away
Normally quiet in January, Manchester City’s poor form in recent months has forced them to act in the winter transfer window, and they are on the verge of sealing several deals.
The Cityzens, who have won their last three games but managed just one win in 12 previously, are looking to spend big this month and are closing in on a deal to sign centre-back Abdukodir Khusanov from Lens after they had Offer of £33.5m accepted.

According to Fabrizio RomanoThe Etihad outfit are “now planning the medical, signing and formal steps” to sign the 20-year-old Uzbekistan international, with the deal expected to be completed in the coming days for a fee said to be “€40m fixed fee plus add-ons”.
Meanwhile, the club have also agreed personal terms with Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush, who scored his 14th goal in just 16 Bundesliga appearances at the weekend, while Romano explains that talks over the weekend between the two clubs were “positive” and that a formal offer is imminent and City want to do a deal this week.
Another player Manchester City want to sign is Palmeiras centre-back Vitor Reis, who has already agreed personal terms over a move to the Etihad, and the clubs are now in direct talks over compensation.
Now they want to solve their biggest problem and set their sights on Galactico.
Man City released funds for the star of Real Madrid
While the three signings seem close for Manchester City, they have yet to sort out their problems in midfield, where Rodri has been sorely missed since suffering a knee injury against Arsenal at the end of the season.
According to Football Insider, they are identified Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni as the man to replace the Ballon d’Or winner, although he will face competition Liverpool for his services.
To try and beat them to his signature, it is claimed that Man City have “made the funds available to Guardiola” to try and sign the France international, who can also replace the centre-back.
Still only 24, Tchouameni has made over 100 appearances for Los Blancos but has not been nailed down as a starter in midfield thanks in part to his versatility, which has seen him relegated to Carlo Ancelotti’s backline this season thanks to injuries.

According to the report, “the opportunity to become an established midfield starter at City or Liverpool is seen as an attractive option” for the former Monaco man, although given Real Madrid’s ambitions this season, it adds that a summer deal is more likely than a move this month.
However, “both Man City and Liverpool believe they could tempt him to move to England”, where he could become a key figure in the years to come for both sides.
Cost Real Madrid 85 million pounds when he arrived from Monaco, it might take at least a similar fee to allow him to leave the Santiago Bernabeu in the windows ahead of him given his age and experience, but Manchester City appear willing to shell out to get him.
