Liverpool have made a £20million bid for the star’s signature, which Slott knows and has received a response to
Liverpool have reportedly made a bid to sign the £20m target in January, whose manager he is Arne Slott he knows well.
Liverpool transfer rumours
The Reds got back to winning ways on Saturday, beating Accrington Stanley at Anfield in the FA Cup. Goals from Diogo Jota, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jayden Danns and Federico Chiesa were enough for Sloto’s side to secure a place in the fourth round.
Pre-match talk Slot addressed the Liverpool transfer rumourssuggesting that these are only guesses. “What I mean about that is that it’s January. I think I said that after the West Ham game, don’t let me down please come to all these clubs and all these players we are interested in or those who don’t play much for us will go elsewhere!
“Yes, that is what is happening now. Nine times out of 10, 99 out of 100 times at the end of the window, it was clear that almost all of these stories were not true. So what can I comment on that? That the rumors about it continue, but without comment from my side.”
But there were plenty of rumors about potential arrivals, such as the Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. PSG are also seriously interested in the Georgian international, and there has been talk of Liverpool including Chiesa in a possible deal.

Elsewhere, Liverpool have also spoken to El Hadji’s agent, Malick Dioufwith Slavia Prague valuing the left-back at €25m (£21m).
Another defender who has been linked with a move to Merseyside in recent months has Sam Beukema. Reports suggested Slott was a big fan of the Bologna defender, who was held in high esteem 20 million poundsand now a new development has appeared.
Liverpool made an offer for the 26-year-old defender
According to Bologna sports site 1000 Cuori Rossoblu in the last 48 hours, Liverpool made a bid for Beukema in January.
They claim Slot knows the Dutch defender well from his time at AZ Alkmaar, however, Bologna rejected Liverpool’s bid to sign Beukema this month.
The 26-year-old has already played at Anfield this season in the Champions League, with the Serie A side losing 2-0 to Sloto’s side in October. Beukema revealed that Slot had spoken to him after that meeting saying that he praises him and Bologna.
“In my opinion, he is one of the best coaches in Holland and Europe. After our Champions League game against Liverpool, he praised me and the team, saying: ‘It’s amazing that we’re competing at this level’.”
It looks like a move for the centre-back could be something to keep an eye on in the future, but any transfer this month seems unlikely following Bologna’s response to Liverpool’s offer.
