Karun Nair breaks 13-year-old List A record in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25.

The Group D clash witnessed Nair set a unique milestone in List A cricket, etching his name into the record books with an exceptional batting display.

They broke the 13-year-old record

Nair played as captain, scoring 112 runs against Uttar Pradesh, leading Vidarbha to another convincing win in the tournament. His batting, characterized by elegant strokeplay and tactical acumen, was instrumental in the team’s success.

Nair’s innings took him to an impressive tally of 542 runs in just six matches, with a personal best of 163 just shy of him. Chandigarh. Of the 38 teams competing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Vidarbha are one of only two unbeaten sides, alongside the Group A leaders Gujarat. Vidarbha’s consistent performances, including a convincing 10-wicket win over Mizoram in their previous game, they made them strong contenders for the title.

Nair’s incredible run in the tournament not only took Vidarbha to the top but also established him as one of the best players in the 2024-25 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
