Justin Baldoni accuses Blake Lively’s husband of mocking him in ‘Deadpool’ as he prepares to sue the actress
Justin Baldoni is asking for “evidence” to be preserved as he prepares to sue his own former colleague, Blake Lively.
Lively sued Baldoni for sexual harassment after the two co-starred in the Colleen Hoover film adaptation of “Breaking Up With Us.” Since the film premiered in August, Lively has also accused Baldoni of engaging in a deliberate smear campaign to destroy her reputation.
Now Baldoni’s legal team has asked The Walt Disney Company and Marvel Studios to preserve “all relevant documents and information” as the actor prepares to sue Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds.
“Marvel should take all appropriate steps to avoid the destruction of potentially relevant evidence,” reads a stay-at-law letter sent to Disney’s Bob Iger and Marvel’s Kevin Feige and seen by Fox News Digital.
“Marvel should take all appropriate measures to avoid the destruction of potentially relevant evidence.”
A litigation letter usually precedes a lawsuit.
The protective letter asked Marvel to preserve documents related to the creation of the “Deadpool” franchise. Baldoni’s lawyer insinuated that Reynolds was mocking the actor who played Nicepool in “Deadpool and Wolverine.”
Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, requested any documents showing “an intentional attempt to ridicule, harass, ridicule, intimidate or bully Baldoni through the ‘Nicepool’ character,” along with “any documents relating to or reflecting any intentional attempt to associate the character ‘ Nicepool’ to Justin Baldoni.”
“No question [the character] refers to Justin,” Freedman previously claimed during a Jan. 7 appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show. “I mean, anyone who watched — that bun, the pregnancy comment … It’s pretty obvious what’s going on.
“But again, if someone is seriously sexually harassed, don’t make fun of it. It’s a serious problem,” the lawyer added.
Representatives for Lively and Reynolds did not respond to Fox News Digital’s immediate request for comment.

Vividly detailed allegations of sexual harassmentretaliation, intentional infliction of emotional pain, negligence and more by Baldoni and film producer Jamey Heath in a complaint filed first with the California Department of Civil Rights and later in federal court.
According to the complaint, obtained by Fox News Digital, the actress called an “all hands” meeting on Jan. 4, 2024, regarding the alleged behavior of Baldoni and Heath, a meeting that her husband Reynolds attended.
“Ms. Lively was forced to speak directly to them about the misconduct of Mr. Baldoni and Mr. Heath, and began doing so months before filming began,” the complaint states. “The concerns she expressed were not just for her, but for the other female cast and crew, some of whom also spoke out.”
Freedman previously told The Times: “These claims are completely false, outrageous and deliberately twisted with the intention of publicly hurting and questioning the narrative in the media.”

Baldoni has been since then sued by The New York Times for slander. The actor’s lawyer hinted at the possibility of a separate lawsuit against Lively.
However, Livelyn’s team noted that her allegations were “supported by concrete facts.”
“This is not a ‘feud’ stemming from ‘creative differences’ or a ‘he said/she said’ situation,” her lawyers told Fox News Digital. “As Ms. Lively’s complaint alleges and as we will prove in litigation, Wayfarer [Studios] and his associates engaged in illegal, vindictive astroturfing against Ms. Lively for simply trying to protect herself and others on a movie set. And their response to the lawsuit was to launch new attacks against Ms. Lively since her report.”
