Joe Biden said a cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hamas would “stop the fighting in Gaza” and increase “much-needed” humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.
In an address on Wednesday, the outgoing US president also said the deal would mean Israeli hostages held in the area would “soon” be returned to their families.
