Ipswich has already hit on a star worth more than Philogene

We are only halfway through the season and it would be fair to say that things are not looking bad for Ipswich Town.

Now, that’s true Kieran McKenna the clock is foreign in the relegation zonebut the results have improved in recent weeks and are still safe.

Moreover, as the transfer window is in full swing, the club has the opportunity to further strengthen the team and increase the chances of survival.

Still, while the signings will undoubtedly help, we can’t imagine them bringing in anyone more valuable than one of their current stars, including Jadan Philogene.

That said, while the York-born defender will undoubtedly add some more toughness to the Tractor Boys, he won’t add much excitement, at least not as much as the club’s other signing, Jaden Philogene.

Now, young man, set at £20mhe has not yet officially joined the club, but according to insiders, such as Fabrizio Romanoindicate that it is only a matter of time.

That’s certainly a lot of money to spend on a player only 334 minutes of top flight football to his name, but given that he collected a brilliant catch 12 goals and six assists in just 32 Championship appearances for Hull City last season, it could prove to be a wise investment.

However, there is a current Ipswich star who spent time with the Tigers last season, someone who is worth well over £20m.

Now, while that is undoubtedly a lot of money, it could be argued that the Englishman should be worth even more, having been utterly spectacular so far this season.

That means the 21-year-old phenom is currently averaging a goal every other game, or every 146.9 minutes, which, again, for a team struggling in the relegation zone is simply sublime.

Ultimately, there can be no debating who is Ipswich’s best player this season, and if they can keep up, the sky is the limit for Delap’s future valuation.
