All roads return to the Hill Constitution champion striker after surviving an error raising his hair on the last flight to seal a victory at the Unibesian obstacle in Cheltenham.
Stable star Nicky Henderson was not sensational at all when she claimed in 2023 that Champion Hurtle Glory, but failed to defend his crown last term after well -documented health problems.
However, after proven that his ability remains very intact with a successful Defense of Christmas obstacle at Kempton Park, on the return of boxing, Henderson decided to spend an eight -year -old one month on the trial day at the festival and was banned from 1/12 chance of shipping five inferior rival.
After taking the lead from Brentford Hope, Nico de Boinville felt that the tempo was too stuck to the Hill Constitution, moving down his back straight and allowing him to advance the fourth obstacle.
He did not see the other horse from the house, and as the crowded stands sighed as he paddled through the last obstacle, he stopped a little while cruising the hill below his stationary rider to achieve three lengths.
Brentford Hope is a hop to finish a clear second and Spirits Bay back in third place.
De Boinville admitted ITV racing: “My heart was in my mouth, he did everything so easy, but he found his leg and barely blows. I’m delighted with him, just angry with himself more than anything.”
