Guro Reiten extended his contract with Chelsea until 2026
Guro Reiten has extended her contract with Women’s Super League (WSL) club Chelsea until 2026.
Blues fans will be delighted to hear that the Norwegian star will be staying at Cobham for another two years after Chelsea raised their possibility of extending her contract on Tuesday. Reiten has made 177 appearances for the west London club since putting pen to paper for the first time in 2019.
Reiten has since become a fan favorite, scoring 32 goals in 102 WSL appearances. Since her arrival, the 30-year-old has been an integral part of Chelsea’s domestic dominance, helping the team to five consecutive league titles.
The attacking midfielder recently took home the WSL Player of the Month award for November after a strong start to the 2024/25 season. Despite a strong start to the current season, fans will never forget Reiten’s heroics in the 8-0 win over Bristol City that helped Chelsea to reconcile their title hopes in 2023/24.
Reiten is closing in on 100 international appearances for Norway, scoring 21 goals for his nation. The electric forward has represented her country at two FIFA Women’s World Cups and two European Championships, and will be eager to rectify Norway’s disappointing form in Switzerland this summer.
Chelsea will be back in action this weekend as they host Charlton Athletic in the fourth round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.
