Global temperatures have exceeded the 1.5C target in the past two years, the EU monitor says

The average global temperature rose by 1.5C from pre-industrial times in both of the previous two years, an EU monitor said on Friday, reaching levels unprecedented for modern humans, while natural disasters are becoming more frequent and intense around the world.
