Fires in California “burned” the house of ex Chris Pratt, his son’s school “disappeared”


Chris Pratt shared an update on how fires in LA affected his family, after the disaster left more than 12,000 homes and businesses in ashes.

The “Guardians of the Galaxy” star took to social media to say he was going to “check” on his home and town because he hasn’t been back since the fires started.

“It’s miraculous, it’s still standing. By the grace of God, we have four walls and a roof,” noted Pratt, as he leaned on his faith during what he called “a tough few weeks.”

“It’s really devastating, as you know,” Pratt added.

The 45-year-old actor went on to say that the “silver lining” among the tragic fires was that his home was saved, but “so many people’s houses burned down” in his area.

“The community is gone, my son’s school is gone, my son’s mom’s house is burned down,” he said, speaking of his ex Anna Faris’ home.

“It’s just wild, and we’re resilient…we believe in God and consider it all a blessing.”

Pratt concluded his video by saying he would provide more updates and, “It’s been inspiring to see our community come together.”

In his Instagram caption, the actor wrote: “Praying for LA and all those affected, we will get through this together. God bless.”

On Wednesday afternoon, Hughes Fire broke out in Castaica, as it is 0 percent contained and has burned nearly 9,300 acres, according to Cal Fire.

Despite 4,000 firefighters battling the inferno, the fast-spreading blaze forced more than 50,000 people to evacuate the area, LA County Sheriff Robert Luna said.

Meanwhile, Southern California firefighters continued to battle the Palisades and Eaton fires yesterday, which has killed at least 28 people and destroyed more than 14,000 structures since it erupted on January 7. The Palisades Fire has reached 68% containment and the Eaton Fire has reached 91%.

Shortly after the fire broke out, a photo showed Faris’ multi-million dollar Pacific Palisades home burned and completely destroyed.

“Anna and her family are safe and very grateful,” the actress’ rep told Fox News Digital at the time.

Pratt and Faris share a 12-year-old son, Jack. Pratt is currently married to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s daughter, Katherine. The two married in 2019 and share three children.
