Everton have entered into negotiations to sign an “outstanding” Premier League player worth £200,000

Everton they are now ready to negotiate a deal to sign an “exceptional” £200k-a-week deal Premier League player this month, according to the report.

The Toffees want to sign the full-back

The Toffees’ defense cannot be blamed for their poor first half of the Premier League season, as they have conceded the fewest goals of any side outside the top eight, so bringing in new attacking options is likely to be a higher priority for David Moyes this month.

Barcelona Vitor Roque is one of the strikers on Moyes’ shortlist, while contact has also been made with Brighton & Hove Albion to discuss the possibility of moving Evan Ferguson to Goodison Park on loan.

However, the Merseyside club are also keen to sign a new full-back, having identified Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters as a potential targetand the Saints are prepared to cash in on the 27-year-old this month, rather than lose him for free in the summer.

Ajax captain Devyne Rensch is another cheap option for the Blues, with a 22-year-old contract also expiring at the end of the season, so Moyes has plenty of right-back targets.

Everton are mulling a bid for the 36-year-old who Mourinho called “miraculous”

There has been a development since the recent update.

However, with club captain Seamus Coleman and Ashley Young now likely to be nearing the end of their careers, the manager may want to bring in more than one full-back this winter, perhaps strengthening at left-back.

According to the Caught Offside report, Everton are now preparing to negotiate with Chelsea over the loan of Ben Chilwellwho failed to squeeze into Enzo Maresca’s plans this season.

The Toffees have already brought in four loan players this season, meaning there is currently no room to bring in one more player, but the potential departure of Armando Broja could free up a spot.

If Broja returns to Chelsea, Moyes may have to choose between Chilwell and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hallas the Blues also plan to ask their Premier League rivals about a loan move for the unpopular midfielder.

Chilwell could be a solid signing for Everton

Although the England international has struggled for playing time this season, he has 21 caps for England and was a regular for Chelsea before missing large parts of the 2023-24 campaign through injury.

The former Leicester City man also impressed during his time with the Foxes, as he praised as “exceptional” by Brendan Rodgers, so he could be a solid signing for Everton if he can get back to a similar level.

At 28 years old, £200k a week the defender is 11 years younger than Young and his previous exploits prove he is undoubtedly capable of displacing Vitaly Mykolenko for his left-back spot.

As such, it is promising news that Everton are planning to inquire about the possibility of signing Chilwell and there should be a very good chance of the move being sanctioned, given that he is reportedly sure he will leave Stamford Bridge this month.
