Donovan Ferreira takes all time big catches on the boundary in SA20 2025
South Africa’s Donovan Ferreira scored a century during the SA20 match between Joburg Super Kings and Sunrisers Eastern Cape played at the Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg. The catch was taken during the closing stages of the Sunrisers’ innings in the Eastern Cape.
During the 19th over, fast bowler hartus vigloen dug a short ball in front of the stumps as Batter Beyers Swanepoel tried to give himself room to smash the ball towards deep point.
It looked like the ball would clear the line easily, but Donovan Ferreira had other ideas. The 26-year-old ran around and put his right arm out to take an absolute screamer just on the edge of the boundary line.

Sunrisers to bat Eastern Cape
Earlier, Sunrisers Eastern Cape elected to bat first after winning the toss. However, they did not start well and lost Zak Crawley in the first bowl of the interception. Lutho Sipamla went on to claim the wicket of Tom Abell in the last ball of the Over, reducing Sunrisers to 2-0.
Things got worse as they were reduced to 17-4 inside the first four overs and skipper Aiden Markram was back in the hut as well. David Bedingham played a lone hand for the defenders and scored a fine 48 off 40 balls.
But he was dismissed by leg-spinner Imran Tahir. Tristan Stubbs and Marco Jansen added some useful runs down the order to take Sunrisers to 118. Hartus Vigloen was the pick of the Sunrisers bowlers with 4-24 while Sipamla picked up three wickets.
