Chelsea moved closer to the Serie A giants due to the departure of Joao Felix
AC Milan has expressed interest in signing Chelsea striker Joao Felix, according to reports in Italy.
Felix, who spent the second half of the 2022/23 season. spent on loan at Stamford Bridge, joined permanently in the summer for a fee of £46.3m as part of the deal that took Conor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid.
Since returning to Chelseahowever, Felix was forced to settle for a peripheral role in Enzo Maresca’s team. He only started three times in the Premier League under the guidance of the Italian, and was instead given a more prominent role in the cup competitions.
The situation with the Portuguese allegedly caught the eye of AC Milan and Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Italian giants have approached Chelsea to explore a possible deal.
Milan wants to strengthen its attack and hunted Manchester Unitedis Marcus Rashford, but progress in the negotiations is slow and so the Serie A giants began to explore their options.
Chelsea have made it clear to Milan that they are not interested in a loan move for Felix, whose contract runs until 2030 and also includes a one-year extension clause.
Felix is not the only summer signing linked with a move away from Chelsea. Brighton & Hove Albion are he is delighted with central defender Tosin Adarabioyowhile £30m midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is available after seeing just 55 minutes in the Premier League this season.
