Chelsea are looking for a replacement for Renato Veiga
While Marc Cucurella has the position of left back in a locked position Premier Leagueit would be important for the Blues to sign a replacement for Veiga, especially with Ben Chilwell headed for the exit this month as well.
As such, there could be something to the rumors that Chelsea are interested in signing Patrick Dorgu, with Caught Offside detected that the west Londoners could pounce with long-time Manchester United fans yet to make their move.
The €50m (£43m) full-back is athletically built and powerful and would act as a perfect barrier to a less energetic player like Cucurella. However, signs suggest that Dorg will not allow himself to be placed in any category of position.
What Patrick Dorgu would bring to Chelsea
Dorgu, who plays for Serie A club Lecce, may only be at the start of his career, but he has already established a reputation as one of the most promising talents in Italian football, having been praised for his “explosive” qualities analyst Ben Mattinson.
With 55 professional performances for Lecce to his name, the Danish talent is on his way to the top and could find instant success at Chelsea as Cucurella’s replacement, scoring three top-flight goals in 19 games this season while winning an incredible average of seven duels per game, according to Sofascore.
