Radio host Charlamagne tha God and comedian Andrew Schulz debunked a number of Democratic narratives on their “Brilliant Idiots” podcast on Saturday.
Charlamagne and Schulz opened the show with a debate over who is to blame for reaching a cease-fire agreement between Hamas and Israel, President-elect Donald Trump or President Joe Biden. The radio host disputed his friend Chris Morrow’s claim that Biden was the person responsible for securing the ceasefire agreement.
Until smart Democrats like Chris start having honest conversations about the party and what they do, nothing will change, Charlamagne said. Referring to Trump’s message to Hamas about the release of Israeli hostages before his January 20 inauguration, Charlamagne said: “From the moment Trump said that, the talks started to pick up. And I think Israeli TV is saying the same thing.”

The latest ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas was announced this Wednesday, with 33 hostages released by Hamas over six weeks in exchange for hundreds of Palestinians currently imprisoned in Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised Biden and Trump for their role in advancing the negotiations. Netanyahu thanked Biden for his commitment and praised Trump’s assertion that Gaza should never again become a “paradise for terrorism.”
Charlamagne expressed his disappointment with Democrats after seeing viral videos of former President Barack Obama and Trump talking to each other at the former Funeral of President Jimmy Carter last week.

“I’m sure everyone has seen the Barack Obama video and Donald Trump being all friend, friend, Barack Obama is showing his teeth. Here’s why I don’t like it,” Charlamagne said, adding, “I’ve been alive for 46 years. I have never heard people call a political opponent or compare him to Hitler. Never said, never heard, never heard them called fascists.”
Schulz then jumped in and asked, “But why is everyone hanging out and hanging out with Hitler? I don’t understand.”
“That’s my point,” Charlamagne said, adding, “my point is, if you’re going to have that rhetoric, keep that same energy.”

Charlamagne continued to attack Obama for being friendly with Trump, saying: “You said this man is a threat to democracy. Didn’t you? You said those things. You’re the last real leader of the Democratic Party. Tell me if that’s good political optics, why should I , like I said, I said it last week, why would I believe anything that comes out of a Democrat’s mouth?”
The radio host said he “never called Donald Trump a fascist based on anything I’ve heard from Democrats. I said that because of the things I’ve heard come out of Donald Trump’s mouth. Right. But guess what? I don’t even know if More to it I believe,” adding, “But just because of how they’re acting, well, God, maybe it’s not that much of a threat.”
“That’s right, they lied to you,” Schulz replied.
