“After discussing my football future with my family, I have decided to return to Penn State for the 2025 season,” Singleton wrote in a statement on social media Monday.
“We still have goals we want to achieve as a team and I want to be there for my teammates as we reach those goals. I am scheduled to graduate this fall and will be pursuing a degree from Penn State University, which has always been a goal of mine.”

“It has been a real honor to wear the blue and white for the last three seasons,” Singleton wrote. “When I step into Beaver Stadium, I’m aware of how special this place is. Playing in front of the biggest fans in college football is something I never took for granted.
“I’ve been very fortunate to play for Coach (James) Franklin, Coach (Ja’Juan) Seider and the rest of this amazing coaching staff. The guys in that running room, along with the rest of my teammates, are people I will cherish forever. It was a privilege to play with those guys and they mean everything to me, the family environment in the Lasch building is real.”
Nick Singleton was an important player for Penn State since his arrival. He made an immediate impact as a freshman in 2022 with 1,061 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. In his second season in 2023, he had 752 runs and eight touchdowns.
