(Credit: Melina Pizano/Matchroom) Nelson started fast, using the activity to dominate the first three laps. Pacheco took his strength and controlled from the fourth through the tenth against Nelson. In the final two rounds, a bloody Nelson looked like a new man, going after Pacheco, hitting him with big shots that kept the 23-year-old at bay. The energy the 36-year-old Nelson displayed in the 11th and 12th rounds was impressive. He lacked that in the middle part of the competition, where he gave a fight.
