Bayern Munich they want to sign a contract worth more than £50 million Chelsea star this month, but the Blues don’t want to lose him, according to a new report.

This month could be a busy period for the Blues and Enzo Marescaas injuries at the heart of their defense have left the selectors short of options. Speaking after the match against Palace, Maresca spoke about the possible signing of a new defender. He said: “Probably with the injuries to Wes and Benoit, we’ll see if anything happens [in the transfer market].”

Apart from the possible arrival, there is also the possibility of several players leaving Stamford Bridge this month, having fallen out of favor under Maresco. Left back Ben Chilwell is now ‘certainly’ leaving Chelsea in this transitional period. The defender has failed to make a single squad for a league game this season, and is therefore likely to leave on loan or for good.
Carney Chukwuemeka could also leave the club this month, as West Ham are interested in Chukwuemeka. The Blues are willing to let the midfielder leave this month and are looking to get around £40m. Aston Villa are also interested in re-signing the player, but Chelsea may have to reconsider their price tag if they are to sell the midfielder this month.

Chilwell and Chukwuemeka aren’t the only Chelsea players being linked with a move away, as according to TBR Football, Bayern Munich are very keen to sign Christopher Nkunku this month.
Nkunku joined the Blues in the summer of 2023, and it’s been a frustrating transfer for the forward so far, having missed a large part of the campaign last season through injury and then this 2024/25 season. and on the side under Maresco.
The 27-year-old has started three of the 18 Premier League games he has played this season, and given his situation, Bayern Munich are now ready to make a move for him in this transfer window. TBR Football state that Nkunku is a player Chelsea do not want to lose this month, however, the club know they cannot keep a player who is unhappy and could be forced to accept a ‘good cash offer’.
Nkunku, who cost Chelsea £52m in 2023is not desperate to leave Stamford Bridge this month but is frustrated with his situation under Maresco. Bayern Munich are not alone in their pursuit of a striker, as Atletico Madrid and PSG are also interested in signing the French international. Nkunku is under contract until 2029, so Chelsea are in no rush to sell the player, but if a move does happen, they are expected to want their £50m+ back, if not more.
