Babar Azam spins Virat Kohli, tackles Wiaan Mulder after a wild toss, Aiden Markram intervenes
Pakistan national cricket team batsman Babar Azam is back in form and made a huge impact for his team in the ongoing second test against South Africa national cricket team. The match between these two teams is played at Newlands Stadium in Cape Town.
Babar, who was recently dropped from the Test team during England’s home series, made a remarkable return to form in the series against the South African national cricket team. The batsman hit a solid half-century in the first game and then continued his form in the second game.
Babar hit a half-century in the first innings and after the Pakistan national cricket team was given the go-ahead, the top batsman ensured another solid effort for the team. He looked brilliantly moved as he dropped his class and faced the opening challenge.
Babar Azam surpasses his class with the bat, adds 205 runs for the first wicket with Shan Masood
Babar extremely frustrated the bowlers of the South African cricket team with his way of batting. He hardly put a foot wrong in his innings and with the way he batted, it was almost certain that he would end up with a big ton as he, along with skipper Shan Masood (102*), added 205 runs to open the wicket.
During his innings, Babar Azam was also involved in a big fight with Wiaan Mulder, the all-rounder of the South African national cricket team. It happened during the 32nd over of the innings when tensions flared between the two players and even the umpires got involved.
Wiaan Mulder threw the ball to which Babar Azam stepped forward and played a return shot at the bowler. The speedster collected the ball and threw it to the batsman before both players exchanged a few words. The Pakistan fielder was slightly off the crease but the throw was also way off target.
This left Babar unhappy as he was seen leaving the crease to join the conversation. The referees came and calmed down the players. Even Shan Masood and Aiden Markram were seen talking to Babar before things returned to normal.
