Arsenal want a £120k-p/w ace who would make Saka better

While there is still every opportunity to Arsenal they can turn their current form around and finally win Premier League this season, that seems more and more a distant possibility with every game.

Mikel Arteta The team has been nearly flawless over the past two seasons, but until this year, injuries, suspensions and rough hitting have seen them fall off the pace of the league and face the prospect of elimination from League Cup in the hands of Newcastle United.

However, despite how bleak things may look at the moment, the Gunners remain a sensational football team, with players such as Martin Odegaard, William Saliba, Declan Rice and Bukayo Sakathere is every chance that he will come back stronger next season and finally cross the finish line.

In fact, if recent reports are to be believed, the club’s number one transfer target for the summer could be the very player to help them do just that, a player so sublime that he would help the unstoppable Shaka reach even higher levels.

Arsenal are chasing their dream team-mate for Saka

According to a recent report from the former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown via Football InsiderArsenal have retained significant interest in the Newcastle United star Alexander Isak.

Brown goes a step further, revealing that the Gunners have identified the Swedish goal machine as their “first” striker target for the summer window.

Moreover, while Brown explains the Toon’s desire to keep the former Real Sociedad star beyond the summer, he claims the North Londoners are “determined” to bring him to the Emirates.

If Arteta and Co get their man, it will cost a pretty penny, with reports from earlier this month claiming his price could be as high as £150 million.

Now, while that is undoubtedly an extraordinary amount of money for one player, it could prove to be worth it given his sensational ability, especially since he could help Saka reach a whole other level.

How Isak would make Saka better

Okay, while there are probably countless reasons why Isak could help Saka reach a higher level, from the way he trains to his attitude on the field and in the locker room, there is one main reason: his performance.

Simply put, a “world class” shooter, as they call him manager Eddie Howehe is such an incredibly dangerous player in front of or practically anywhere near goal that he would undoubtedly send England’s numbers to the moon.

For example, just this season, the Swedish “nightmare”, ace dubbed by Alan Shearerit piled up an unheard of tally of 15 goals and four assists in 22 appearances, which equates to an absurd goal share average of every 1.15 games.

In contrast, Kai Havertz was pretty good at racking up catches 12 goals and three assists in 26 appearances, while Gabriel Jesus was less effective, shrinking seven goals and two assists in as many appearances as possible.

Now, while none of these returns are amazing, they aren’t spectacular either, and with an average goal share of every 1.73 games for Havertz and every 2.88 games for Jesus, neither comes close to what the Solna-born superstar is capable of.

What’s more, the Gunners’ forwards have been able to achieve their level of performance with significant help from Saka, who was on fire before his hamstring injury, racking up a world-class haul of nine goals and 13 assists in 24 appearanceswhich is equal to an average share of goals every 1.09 games.

Just imagine the Newcastle star being able to play alongside such a prolific and creative winger as Hale Ender, and then you might understand why we think it would be a partnership that would see both players reach stratospheric heights.

Ultimately, signing Isak in the summer will cost Arsenal an arm and a leg, but given how lethal he has been this season and the potential for how much better he could be with the likes of Saka and Odegaard around him, it could be worth breaking the bank for him .
