American tennis star Frances Tiafoe ate on ‘crazy’ dates with Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce
Frances Tiafoe could be among the top ranked American tennis professionals, but it must be admitted that he gets a little carried away like anyone else.
During a recent interview on “Switch” podcast, the 2024 US Open semifinalist talked about his breakout success and the recognition that came with it, including attention from other celebrities and athletes.

“I said it in real time, whoever I’m with, like, ‘Hey, I’m over here taking pictures with Taylor Swift,'” Tiafoe said, adding that he is undoubtedly “Beyoncé’s guy.”

“But at this point I’m like, man, like, this is crazy, she’s the biggest star here.”
Tiafoe, 26, said the turning point in his career was when he beat legendary tennis pro Rafael Nadal in the fourth round US Open 2022. A win would advance him to the quarterfinals, making him the youngest American at age 24 to reach the quarters since Andy Roddick in 2006.
However, the shots with Swift are only the tip of the iceberg.

“Trav and Mahomes, they’re like, ‘Yo, we’ve got to get you involved [Kansas City]. What they said is crazy for me, and then they rolled out the red carpet for me,” he continued. “It’s crazy because playing tennis and being able to reach so many people and people who want to meet me and hang out and do things, that are the things that make you do what you do.”
Despite enjoying the company of celebrities, Tiafoe also enjoys his connection with his fans.
“A lot of people can see themselves in you … I’m just a regular guy, man. I’m just a guy from Maryland who just loves tennis.”

Tiafoe didn’t go into detail when the hangouts with Swift, Kelce and Patrick Mahomes happened, but Kansas City Chiefs the duo was spotted at the 2024 US Open in the men’s singles final between American Taylor Fritz and Jannik Sinner.
